Dalit Ethnic Upliftment Center (DEUC), Bara is a non-profit, women leaded, service-oriented and community-focused organization working to promote equality, dignity, social justice, inclusion and sustainable development.
Established in 2059 B.S. (2002 A.D.), DEUC has been working for more than two decades with marginalized, disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Nepal. Our work is rooted in the belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, access opportunities and participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives.

Who We Are
DEUC was established with a commitment to address the social and economic barriers faced by marginalized communities. Over the years, the organization has grown through partnerships with communities, local governments, civil society organizations, national and international development partners.
We work particularly with Dalits, Janajatis, women and girls, children, persons with disabilities, migrant families and other communities facing social and economic exclusion.
Our approach is community-centered and participatory. We listen to communities, understand their priorities and work together to develop practical solutions that can create lasting change.
